Tascam 464 issue

I recently purchased this 464 but unfortunately recording doesn’t work it just make noice and record pause and play buttons blink together and stops

please help

You have a cracked Gear C in the transport and the transport needs lubrication. These were made a long time ago and the gear and grease are hardening and the gear cracks and falls apart.
I have new ones made and can service the deck.
