Perhaps there is something that I missed...a memo perhaps...but, I feel like I'm doing something wrong..... I exported song tracks from the utility folder onto my pc, then I imported the song tracks onto a new SD card via the utility folder. All went well...so I thought. I'm a little confused as when I try to import the song tracks the Tascam wants to assign them to unused tracks instead of allowing me to import songs separately: 1st song imports fine to track 1, 2nd song wants to import itself upon track 2, and so on.

What am I missing - and, yes, I am sure that it is something very elementary...lol

Thank you

The description of your process is a little vague; you don't clarify if you're attempting to import trax via AudioDepot, or using a computer/folder structure...but I suspect you're missing a basic instruction for importing tracks. This is of course in the manual, covered in countless threads here on the forum, and in the "sticky posts". Topics would be file-handling, and import/export, and backups.

If it helps:
When importing in AudioDepot, you're given a choice of WHERE the imported track will be placed, via a list of all unoccupied trax in that song/project on the DP.
And while you can import TRAX into existing songs, you can't import SONGS - unless you move a song/project already-created on a/the DP and stored outside the DP, and moved to an SD card in the proper manner for use in the DP.

Meanwhile: stop sleeping through the meetings. That's how justin beeber got famous.

Thank you for your input. After reading your reply, I felt like a first-grader...lol.

Thanks again

Sorry to be a weisenheiner. Don’t be offended - wasn’t scolding.
But no one likes helping someone who’s unwilling to help themselves! All the info you need is in the manual, and searchable on this forum.
It’s realllly important to understand that Tascam gear - despite being marketed to the consumer market - is professional-level gear that requires the user to learn and understand its’ features, functions, capabilities. It ain’t like like makin’ pudding!!!
Let us know if you’ve got it worked out. And read/learn those great “sticky posts” at the top - worth their weight in gold!😎
