Hi, Is it possible to Daisy chain more than 1 x model 12 via midi therefore creating more channels whilst controlling outboard gear via midi too? I.E. model 12 midi out to second model 12 midi in, and second model 12 midi out to outboard gear e.g sequencer/keybord/drum machine?

No.
The only thing the Model 12 transmits via MIDI is sync, but it doesn’t recognize it. So you can make the Model 12 the master and a sequencer or drum machine it’s slave and they would sync. But you can’t sync another Model 12.

Hi, thanks for getting back. Would a solution be to use a midi merger?

Another no, sorry. The Model 12 can control a DAW when connected to a computer via USB, or act as MIDI interface. When in standalone mode it can only transmit MIDI clock and start/stop messages, it can't be synced to anything. There is no point in merging MIDI clock from two different sources because clock is a system message, i.e. it is recognized regardless what MIDI channel a device is listening and mixing two non-synchronized clock streams would produce unpredictable effects on the receiving side. Very likely not useful for music purposes.
