I purchased a Model 12 in 2020. Didn't use that heavily. Once or twice a week
to record stuff
In 2023 started to make odd squealing, hissing noise on power up.
Got worse. Then difficult to power on, repeated attempts switching
on and off was only thing that worked
Incredibly dissappointing and frustrating!
I did some research, found out the power switch was the issue (hard
to believe). Replaced it today, very proud of myself! Powers on and
off perfectly again. Display shows every time.
Then I connect input, microphone to Channel 1.
No signal light on speaking into mike
Input meter showing nothing
(Microphone is fine, plug it into amp, works)
I connect output monitor. Power it on, the squealing
noise that builds into deafening level is back.
I quickly switch it off.
It still powers on and off perfectly.I can select menu items
and did a factory reset. Can't record, can't playback,
no idea what to do next.
Anyone experience this or have any ideas? Thx !
