I've got a DR-40 that's been through it, but other than a loose USB jack, it's seemingly in decent working condition.
I'm attempting to use the DR-40 to through some old wav recordings of gigs that were taken on a DR-100mkII and renamed/labeled in Windows 10. All I want to do is use the DR-40 to play through these 2-4 hour recordings while I'm doing other things and use 'mark' to pick out those spots where I want to pull a song or a clip. (I'd use the DR-100, but inconveniently the Play button refuses to work)
But my 'mark' is not working. The button is working as I navigate menus, but when in playback it refuses to mark anything. I clearly remember this working before - the little notification "MARK 01" shows and such, but now it only lights up the screen and does nothing.
