Tascam Model 12 gain

Hello,

I'm curious is Tascam gain also digital or it's analog?

And is it safe for the mixer to crank the gain knob all the way up (of course lowering the faders so that speakers won't blow up)? I'm asking because I raised gain at maximum on drum machine and I liked the distorted sound of kick )

According to the block diagram, the AD converters are after the preamp. So, it’s analog.
Safe? There’s only one rule. If it sounds good, it is good.
