Firewire card disabled in OS X Yosemite 10.10.2?

HELP!!
Everything working fine up until today... Saw that the core audio option did not list the IFFWDM card driver, so uninstalled (using the provided uninstaller with the driver and reinstalled. No joy. Tried a previous version - no joy. Mixer says the mixer card is "OK" but that 1394 is "Not Ready".
What's my next step?

Duh.. My next step was to reboot the mixer. Problem solved. Don't you dare disrespect me...

You should be running the latest beta driver for the card... That is, if it's an IF/FW-DMmkII. Search the forum to find where the beta builds are and how to get there.
