I read the threads here about HD upgrades and changes but didn't see anybody report successfully upgrading to an SSD. I'd love to do this since it's likely the main reliability issue with the 2488.
I'm wondering if an adapter like this might work. If the PATA to SATA commands are properly converted and buffered it should be transparent to the 2488 which should remain convinced it's using an IDE drive.
